What dining out should be
Fab dinner at Noble Rot. Food was exactly as you'd hope, really well executed, classic cuisine which perfectly complements the quirky wine list with so many intriguing wines to try. Service was absolutely top notch too.

The wait staff were extremely knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list and recommended a delicious wine that perfectly complemented my main course. An all around excellent experience! Go here soon, your tastebuds will thank you.
Excellent wine list
Met a friend for dinner who was not drinking but great selection of wine by the (Coravin) glass. Food was very good but sommelier service and wine was excellent. Met (very high) expectations!
Food, wine, service and atmosphere - bang on!
Booked by my brother in law as a treat, 6 of us went to visit Noble Rot to celebrate 2 special birthdays. It was an absolute treat! We sat in a booth at the back of the restaurant. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Staff answered all our n
Lovely Anniversary Dinner
We had a fantastic dinner at Noble Rot for our 10th anniversary. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Our server was so knowledgeable about not just the wines, but the winemakers and vineyards. We enjoyed the Comté beignets and th
Exceptional
Exceptional! Been to Soho , first visit to Mayfair. Along with friends who are also wine lovers , love all staff are sommeliers.. we gave them a budget and wines not fond of and they gave us an amazing experience and wine we would of never tried ..
What an amazing dinner.
What an amazing dinner. The service was friendly and gave us the time to enjoy the meal. We loved the food. We started with the roasted pumpkin and partridge which was outstanding. Then we enjoyed the amazing duck. The wine selection was extensive. I
What a food treat
I had heard encouraging reports from friends about Noble Rot restaurants as havens of good food and great wines. So I was looking forward to my first foray as a guest to their Bloomsbury establishment today. My immediate impression was of a tradition
Lovely ambience , great service , nice food
Part of the Bloomsbury set .. reservation strongly recommended . The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - and I found the staff very helpful I had Scottish langoustines from the specials board - nicely presented .. followed by a lamb dish with lenti
Delicious food and superb wine
Visited Noble Rot with the family for a birthday. We were met by friendly staff. We decided on the set menu of sardine, steak and cheesecake which was excellent. It was accompanied by delicious sparkling wine from Dorset and topped off by Douro port
More Rot than Noble
The venue is charming, the service attentive and the wine list is copious. The food, however, was disappointing in the context if generally favourable reviews. Since going from one branch to a chain format, I guess this may be par for the course, bu
Delicious, super clean, very friendly service.
Great experience! Would come back again in a heart beat!
Worst London meal in 20 years
Possibly the worst meal I've had in London over the past 20 years, red raw pork chop and bones in the sea bass. Shocking, and Dangerous, I just hope Ian Hislop had a better meal, emphasis on the Slop. You're a disgrace to your industry and professio
Wouldn’t give it the time of day!
Highly over-rated and even more outrageously over-priced, even for London. Anchovies, four filleted anchovies, ie two, for £14, Four sprigs of broccoli over-bathed in too-creamy hollandaise, for £16. Wines by the glass, measured in tiny glasses but
Up marker wine bar
A popular restaurant in a traditional London street. The ambiance is good but very noisy. Good selection of wines and an interesting menu. Certainly the Comte Tart is well worth trying as a starter. I also had duck as a main. Unfortunately the s
Underwhelming!
This was our first time in this restaurant and we were underwhelmed. Wine was extremely overpriced even by London standards for a casual restaurant and the largest size per glass was only a 125ml unless you had a bottle . The food was average and th
Great lunch
It was our first visit as we had a voucher as a gift from the family for my birthday. We went for lunch which was first class, we shared a few starters as the portions were generous. The house wines were great in both quality and value. we were given
Life saver
My partner and I always go to the SOHO restaurant but on this occasion we were in Holborn. I am writing this separate review simply because this place rescued us from utter misery. Our train was delayed and we spent 8 hours struggling to get into Lo
Firm Favourite
Third trip in 2024. Attentive staff, great venue and excellent food. On the last trip tried the crab starter, quail with romesco sauce and the basque chesse cake. All three were excellent.
On the whole very good
Extended family of 7 (adults) had an evening birthday meal here. Thought food was a mixed bag. Comte beignets were excellent. Selection of starters had some hits and some misses. Mains were good. I had beef which was very good. My London based a
Never disappoints
Noble Rot in Lamb's Conduit Street has been one of my "must go to" places on all my London visits over the last several years. I belive I now must have been there 8-10 times, for lunches and dinners. My latest visit was in January 2024, wh
Small intimate perfection
We stumbled upon this perfect find after noticing the other pubs close by were full and we couldn’t have been happier! Great food and wonderful staff in an intimate atmosphere. Will def go back!!
Vegetarian waste of time
Vegetarian option main course; lukewarm almost cold lentils with three over-cooked cold broccoli stems and three thin slices of cold grilled onion. Ridiculous.
Loved this place.
It's so cozy and cute. The wine list was top notch and food was to die for!!!!!!
Smart but unpretentious with good food and drinks!
Very good food - one of those places you can pretty much pick anything and be happy. Highlights include mushroom pasta (even sans truffle!) and the citrus (duck?) heart salad. Bustling on a weekend but efficient staff (table next to us had a delay bu

A must-stop in London for creative, delicious food and an extensive well-curated wine list. Excellent service with educated staff.
Food Disappointing
Wine superb but food disappointing so something's changed in the kitchen. £34 for three thin fatty overcooked bland slices of supposed best lamb rump with tasteless butter beans. This mediocre food will not produce repeat custom.
Utterly delicious
We had a Wednesday set lunch with the suggested Greek wine with the main. The beef shin with swede was absolutely delicious. I have no idea how they made swede taste so wonderful and the beef was out of this world. I haven’t had such a great meal i
Good wine and service, food disappointing
The welcome, service and wines were excellent but the food was average and I have to say over priced. I’ve read other reviews that highlight the cheeseboard is just 3 chunks of cheese and dry crackers and that’s what it was.
Do not book this place
I was ill so couldn’t make my booking, I tried to call them 4 hours before to cancel. Couldn’t get through, left a voicemail. Was called by the restaurant and told that they simply HAD to charge me £50 per person for the cancellation.
Why can’t you order taxis?
The wine bar was lovely as were the servers. One woman was very kind and let me use the staff toilet as the toilets were downstairs and I don’t do stairs. The only disappointing thing was when I paid I asked them to order a taxi and he said they
A Quality Selection Of Very Tasty Dishes At The Wine Bar
Noble Rot Lambs Conduit Restaurant was the site of out best meal in this London visit..the staff are super welcoming and friendly..the seating is very comfortable and the environment is very conducive to resemble our home dining table with good frien
One of my favorites
Great food and good atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good wine list. Highly recommended. Ate very good crumble as a dessert.
Worth all the fuss ?
Came to see what all the fuss was about with this place and apart from a well priced wine list would not write home about the food.
More than the wine
I have all ready thanked the friend who recommended here. The scene is set as soon as the heavy curtain sheltering the diners is parted: the room is small and quaint in a studied and unpretentious old fashioned way. The menu is short and most helpful
Heavenly
Got us a table at very short notice after other plans fell through (my fault). Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, delicious food and incredible wine, served and described with passion. Special shout out to Terri at the Soho branch for arrangi
Great atmosphere, good staff and excellent value tasty set
Great atmosphere, good staff and excellent value tasty set lunch. We had a couple of US friends in London and met up for lunch. He was a retired former chef (won numerous Wine & Spectator awards) who has exacting standards. The set lunch which off
Absolutely worth a visit.
The lunch menu (3 courses for £22) is a steal for the quality. Wine menu has a lot of bizarrely cheap options for an upscale wine bar. I got a £5 glass of vinho verde and loved it. The set lunch menu changes every day so it's always a little bit of
I made the mistake of having some food in the early evening
I made the mistake of having some food in the early evening before meeting a friend here for wine and additional snacking - because I ended up being too full to try as many of the plates as I would've. The wine list was diverse and fun, and for food
