Memorable Birthday Experience
What a perfect and memorable birthday experience. Sat overlooking the kitchen which was a fun experience to watch the process. The food was fantastic in regards to creativity, taste and plating/presentation. The staff was wonderful and were so accommodating to my wifeâs food intolerances. Worth every penny and more. We would highly recommend.
Smoked Room in Tivoli Gardens (Copenhagen/Denmark)
Smoked Room visited Copenhagen for about one month during the summer of 2025 as a pop-up restaurant in the Tivoli Gardens. I visited on a sunny Sunday for lunch. Lunch menu started with freshly baked brioche bread and beautiful roasted yeast butter. This was followed by an oyster with - which was described on the menu - ceviche dashi, which was delicious and refreshing. Then came Danish shrimps with yuzu and brown butter, which was slightly sweet with "nice and round" flavours being enhanced by enjoying the accompanying glass of Chardonnay. A perfect match! A vegetarian dish followed with the finest cherry tomatoes in a refined tomato soup combined with gooseberries. So delicious and very refreshing on a warm summer's day. The next dish was tomato shaped smoked eel seasoned with caviar and a soft horseradish cream. The eel was perfectly smoked with the horseradish (restricted and not at all overpowering) adding a nice contrast. Great flavours. Hamachi was served with a nice sauce/mayonnaise and caviar. This was a refined, yet guite meaty dish (appropriately red wine was poured in the glass). Main course was dry aged duck with a sweet corn risotto and a dark peppery sauce. Lots of spices going on, with the sweet corn being a nice contrast. Finally two desserts served with old sherry: sake lees and vanilla followed by chocolate and barley miso. Both were utterly delicious, and with the wine this was a match made in heaven. I finished with a double espresso and a few sweet bites. I was truly amazed not only of the quality of the dishes, but also the way smoke was used. The smoky flavours were very restricted, never taking over, but adding to the dishes as an alternative way of seasoning. The balance was perfect. What a wonderful lunch. The two Michelin stars are so well deserved, and beside the food and wine I have to send my best regards to the staff taking so good care of me and the other guests. Thank you.
Smoked Room Madrid
Food was very good, but 8 of the 9 courses were fish/seafood. There needs to be more of a balance with more meat dishes. Spanish pork and beef are exceptional, and neither was featured on the prix fixe menu.

Great vibes and delicious food! The perfect setting for a lovely dinner with friends. From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant did not disappoint.

Absolutely perfect
Not much to add to the other reviews, but I thought the meal merited writing. Perfection. This meal restored my faith in starred dining, after a few very underwhelming experiences in other 'top' places. Wonderful team. Luis is a brilliant and intuitive sommelier and Lenny was seemingly born to do what be does. Last but not least, very reasonably priced. I just hope it is this good on my next visit!
Wonderful Experience and Visuals from Kitchen to Plate
We secured a kitchen-view bar length dinner seating for our family of four. It's amazing to watch how a top rated professional kitchen - and one working with a lot of fire and smoke - operates. That then translates into a tasting menu with beautifully prepared dishes that, most importantly, are very tasty. The richness of the dishes and ingredients all come together very nicely in every dishes, and while individual plates are small, the overall meal is plentiful. Service was outstanding. There was a team serving and explaining individual dishes and it's always wonderful to have direct rapport with the talented individuals preparing different parts of our meal - the smokers, sous chefs, master chef, dessert specialists, tea preparations, etc. No effort is spared to open that connection between the kitchen and diners. Overall, this was the one restaurant we were eagerly anticipating in our gastronomy-based visit to Spain and we were not disappointed. Smoked Room was a truly amazing experience - especially the kitchen table. Congratulations to the Smoke Room team! Wonderfully done.
Exceptional restaurant - definitely worth a visit
Exceptional food and service in a Japan influenced restaurant type (Omakase and 6 seats at the âChefsâ table with two more separate tables), with a maximum capacity for ~14 people. Reminded me very much of eating at similar restaurants in Japan and Korea (especially 7th door in Seoul with all the smokiness) The very limited capacity makes this a very intimate dining experience where you should expect very close contact and communication with the service and cooks. Shoutout to Luis - really outstanding service and super nice maĂźtre dâ / sommelier. Their concept of the âSmoked Roomâ pervaded through almost all of the dishes and specifically the fireplace in the middle of their show kitchen really makes this an unique experience. I recommend though to come rather lightly dressed because it can get quite hot at the Chefs table. Only negative thing I can say about the restaurant is that they did not want to serve me the rest of their truly amazingly tasting duck. ;) Next time we are in Madrid again, we will definitely come for another visit!
A mesmerising and memorable experience
Recently we visited the Smoked Room in Madrid to celebrate our anniversary. We were expecting a great experience but what we received was beyond great, it was a mesmerising and memorable experience that weâre going to be cherishing for some time! We were welcomed by the staff in the main entrance, just in front of the Lena restaurant, and then guided to what felt like the âsecretâ part of the building, the Smoked Room. When we made the reservation we chose to sit at the bar, instead of a table, which definitely paid off. We instantly felt we were part of a theatrical play created just for us. We also opted for the wine flight, which we agreed that was equally important to the outstanding food itself - one complimented the other, elevating the whole experience, courtesy of the talented sommelier Luis. Finally, we would like the thank the entire team of the Smoked Room, all passionate and with a great smile, for making our special day exceptional. Naio & Alice

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Smoked Room. Fire Omakase Madrid at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Smoked Room. Fire Omakase Madrid page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Smoked Room. Fire Omakase Madrid to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Smoked Room. Fire Omakase Madrid!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
