Paint The Night Parade Package $55 per adult, plus tax includes salad, meatloaf entree, dessert and drink along with reserved seating for the 830 pain the night parade. Totally worth it for the reserved seating. Does not include an actual seat or bench of any sort but the sidewalk area has a great view. The food was surprisingly good, very filling. Check in lady and the ladies who prepared our meals were really nice. Didn't interact with anyone else. Dining room could've used some attention. Overall a good experience, glad we purchased the package.
I finally got to try the Plaza Inn.
When I arrived, I waited in line as they transitioned from breakfast to lunch. Before opening, they gave a slight history about the Plaza Inn and a celebration for those celebrating their birthday. People celebrating birthday got to go up, the line sang happy birthday, and they rang a bell. Just a little more magic for those celebrating their birthday. I came to try their fried chicken and the 70th slice of cake. The fried chicken meal came with 3 pieces (drumstick, thigh, and a breast) with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. After paying, I asked for boxes and bagged it up to take back to the hotel. Even after the walk and settling in before eating, the chicken had some crisp. It was lightly seasoned and the breast was a little dry. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good as was the green beans. The 70th celebration cake was not my favorite. The jam part of it was quite hard almost like a firm jello and made eating the cake difficult.
The five stars is for the fried chicken alone.
The fried chicken is SO good! This is the fried chicken that was originally in New Orleans square in Disney (where Tiana's palace is now). My family loves this fried chicken, it is a must. The chicken is juicy, the fry is perfectly seasoned and crunchy. It is just on a whole different level. The green beans that came with it were also pretty tasty. The biscuit was the only thing we could all pass on - it needs to be warmed up or something, too much uncooked flour on the outside. But still worth it to get the chicken! Plaza in is a quick cafeteria-style restaurant. Tip: don't go to the station straight ahead when you enter, go to one of the stations on the sides. They all sell the same thing, and you get fresher chicken if you go to the sides. They get you in and out of the cafeteria area quickly, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. There is also some indoor setting if you prefer. They bus your tables, so don't worry about where to take your trays when you're done.
Unpleasant Cast Member Interaction
Great experience while my family and I enjoyed our breakfast. Food is decent, a little pricey but filled me up for the entire morning. However, checking in for our reservation was very upsetting and uncomfortable. I was waiting for my turn and for a signal to give Dena (CM) my dining ticket. However, all she did was stare at me with disgust and put her hand out (which took her some time to do). We were not greeted nor given a good morning, she just grabbed my ticket and read me our total. No smile or warm welcoming was given at all. I informed her about my food voucher cards and she seemed very annoyed of that information. I would wait for her to give me the okay to swipe the next card & she’d look at me with disgust and say “go ahead” (very rudely). After payment, I asked if they offered a birthday pin for someone in my party. She didn’t answer me and handed me the pin (with disgust again). I asked if names get written onto the pin. She then handed me a sharpie (no words but just stared at me) for me to write the name myself. Before walking in to eat, she mumbled towards me about getting a stamp (I think for restrooms, I’m not sure?) and just pointed to her stamp and then was done talking with me. This interaction with Dena didn’t make my family and I feel comfortable at all. We were no longer excited for this breakfast before our long day. The rest of our dining experience was good because of the characters and the rest of the cast members, who were very welcoming. I would have just loved to feel like I was entering a magical experience with ALL cast members.

Wow wow wow wow wow wow WOW! We come from the other side of the state and we practically come to Disneyland JUST FOR THIS FOOD. Incredible chicken! Incredible Main Street view! Just wow.
My body needed a salad after a week with minimal vegetables
My body needed a salad after a week with minimal vegetables so got the Cobb salad. Romaine lettuce, chicken, bacon, egg, tomato and bleu cheese with bleu cheese dressing. They mix the salad for you. The flavors go wonderfully together and at a reasonable price of $15.49. You get a lot of food for the price and had trouble finishing it. The chocolate gooey brownie cake is divine but very sweet b The dining room is lively and noisy when everyone is talking and could barely hear the music. The person who made my salad and the cashier were friendly.

Well now I get how Disney stays on top of their food service, quality and atmosphere.... they are efficient. We chose from a set menu of chicken, fish, pasta, salad and beef. No having to second guess who wants what because these entries cover it all...not to forget to mention that choices ate all delicious. Though the line to order appears long they get you through quickly and the great cast members are promptly cleaning tables and getting ready for available indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely stop there again.... probably share this time since portions are generous.

Looking for dining packages to Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland, Plaza Inn was the only place offering the package. We ended up booking a lunch, dining package, for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration parade at 2:40 P.M on a Saturday afternoon. The Plaza Inn is located in Main Street, U.S.A at Disneyland Park. It's right at the entrance to Tomorrowland. We ended up going a little early, around 2:10, and the team member let us in for the dining package! We were provided a Paint the Night Badge and tickets to the reserved seating, which was right next to the train station and Disneyland entrances. The dining package included the following Adult Dining Package Menu Mushroom gravy-glazed meatloaf Baby wedge salad Pea purée over creamy mashed potatoes Herbed crispy carrots Paint the Night-themed dessert Fountain drink Child Dining Package Menu Crispy chicken tenders Macaroni & Cheese Apple sauce and baby carrots Dinner roll Paint the Night-themed dessert Fountain drink The Lunch per adult was $55.00 and $28 per child. Magic Key discount is accepted at the Plaza Inn. It was super busy when we went to the Plaza Inn, but luckily, we did find a table to sit at inside the restaurant. Once we checked in for the reservation, we went to pick up our meal which was already pre-made. The best part of the dining package was the Pea purée over creamy mashed potatoes and the herbed crispy carrots. The meatloaf was so dry and flavorless. It was also cold. I didn't eat much of it. My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese though! Some of the other dishes from the menu looked really good though! The fried chicken and the pasta looked scrumptious! It was nice to take a break from the theme park rides and sit down inside a restaurant though! I'm glad I had a chance to try out the Plaza Inn during lunch time! We had a great time at the Paint the Night Parade. It was one of the best Disney parades I've seen yet.
How does Mickey fair with its food at the Plaza Inn.
Here we go! The Chicken Alfredo Pasta tasted similar to Costco Chicken Alfredo Pasta. I say no more about it. The Celebration Cake at a near $8.00 was expensive!!! The taste didn't match to the value of the cake. The cake was like eating a sugar-free cake. The Cobb Salad was also pricey but hey, it's Disneyland, no way of avoiding the inflation in this park! The Cobb Salad was okay, Mickey Mouse needs to add more chicken to its salad to be worth the price. The service was great as always at Disneyland. One great plus is that the drinks are unlimited for refills. The ambiance was great but one small complaint, the crowd the tables where it's hard to get out in some areas within the restaurant. AC was working great and enjoyed the cool breeze as I was eating. In conclusion, Disney food is not always the greatest for the price! One star was knocked for the inflation.

The Plaza Inn has become my go-to place for dining during my Disneyland visits. Their service is incredibly fast, ensuring that I never have to wait long for my food. If you have a sensitive or allergy to gluten, you can request to speak with the chef and order a gluten-free meal. The chef will personally come to discuss your allergy, write it down, and then bring out your food. The food is delicious, and they even have a gluten-free dinner roll.

Maybe we were just spoiled from having our last character breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (where the food is incredible). For the price, do not expect much for the food. We'll just say that it's more about the character experience. Breakfast fare is as standard as it gets - eggs, waffles, bacon, french toast, a few pastries and very lackluster fruit. It's like free continental breakfast at a hotel. At Tusker House (which is the same price) you can find carving stations, international cuisine, charcuterie, wild dessert selection and so much more. In any case! It's still super cute. The characters walk around and give the kids so much attention. Photos, hugs, dances, all of it. The characters were a bit underwhelming though, which was also a bit disappointing given the price tag. Instead of chip and dale and the mouse from Cinderella we would've loved to see some of the main disney characters. The brunch is advertised as 'Brunch with Minnie' and Minnie also does not walk around. You'll need to wait on a line to take a photo of her. My four year old daughter doesn't love rides and her thrill is meeting characters. For us, this was a worthy use of time and money. For others whose day might be spend waiting for rides and have older kids I would say it's absolutely not worth the money for food.
Fried Chicken at The Plaza Inn
We had read so much about this spot, being where Walt and Lillian used to eat and that actually Lillian designed the restaurant. We had to have the fried chicken platter, as that is what everyone talks about, we sat outside under an large parasol umbrella and enjoyed our meal, which was really filling. Again this is a busy spot but most places in Disneyland are.
Good place to eat at Disneyland!
Great buffet at Disneyland without needing to get reservations. Places to sit out of the sun. Lots of choices Loved the fried chicken and dessert was a choice of 3 types. Lovely cakes.
The Best Fried Chicken at the Disneyland Resort.
The best casual restaurant in Disneyland, a park landmark as one of Walt's original, Plaza Inn needs no introduction about its fried chicken. People know about, talk about, compare it to other establishments in and outside of the Disneyland Resort and, yes it's really that good. Three pieces of herb seasoned golden fried chicken served with homestyle mashed potatoes + gravy, steamed green beans and a buttermilk biscuit. Served on a white china plate, the silverware here is the real deal too, not plastic utensils. Choose your table first, leave someone there to secure a spot and then, go to the buffet area where eager cast members are there to plate your hot food. Plus, there's salads, desserts and beverages to choose from before heading to the cashier. Everything is a la carte priced, charged per item. There are also other hot food options plus seasonal offerings too. Don't forget to get your silverware and condiments before heading to your indoor or outdoor table, especially butter and honey for the biscuits. Decor is classic Victorian style, with the indoor birdcages still there from Walt Disney's time. Outdoor seating is ample under the covered patio or umbrellas overlooking Sleeping Beauty's castle and the entrance to Tomorrowland. I dined here twice this trip, July 2024, and various times in the past six years on my past four visits to the park. A hearty and comforting meal that doesn't break the wallet even with beverages, a side salad and dessert. I always opt to sit indoors to enjoy the air conditioning but, it does get noisy though. Moving through the lines to get food and through the cashier is always quick and, cast members quickly clear the tables for you to dine on + clear your plates afterwards. Take a break in this original landmark at Disneyland, enjoy a delicious fried chicken plate or book a table for the best character breakfast experience in the resort, while basking in the time honored ambiance that dates back to 1955.
Skip the Dining Package
First, understand this review is for the Dining Package - Magic Happens only. NOT the character breakfast. Second, skip the Dining Package. Booked the experience for the family - late teen / early 20’s kids and I - through the Disneyland app. The app describes it as: old-world ambiance, flavorful food and prime positioning for parades and other events. So far, so good. The app then guides you through the purchase, NO OTHER DETAILS. When you arrive you check in and are given a lanyard and ticket for a reserved section by the flagpole as you enter the park for the Magic Happens parade - so great! You are the directed to a Dinning Package check-in section at the hot bar…to receive your NO-SELECTION meal at a BUFFET restaurant. This is never explained anywhere in the app. The meal was a price of fried chicken, a short rib cut, a scoop of pesto mashed potatoes, three broiled carrots, and a small scoop of niblet corn. A small, no option dessert is also provided. As an unlimited soft drinks. The fried chicken had been in the warming tray long enough that the skin was falling off and had lost what had otherwise looked like great crunch. The short rib was retrieved from the depths of a liquid filled warming pan, drained, and then served (in truth my piece was adequate). The pesto mashed potatoes were dense but good. We waited so long that the carrots never came out of the kitchen so I asked for another scoop of the pesto potatoes while everything cooled (the meal is served already plated all at one time). I’m not really sure what the small scoop of corn was for (color on the plate) and it was warmish nibblet corn (so not terrible / not outstanding). The dessert was forgettable. Not for me personally, but probably fine for others. So overall, the meal was a miss. As for the parade, you are NOT sitting at the restaurant but by the flagpole at the entrance. The lunch was at 2:40 and entrance to the reserved area started at 5 for the 5:30 parade. I’d seen people along Main Street staking out their spots well in advance so I thought that the reserved seating was a great idea. That was until several minutes before the start of the parade when cast members started TAKING DOWN the reserved roping. Which means than an area that didn’t have that many people in it now had a bunch of space available for anyone who happens to walk by / wanted to get a better view! Like the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace event, this was a hard miss by Disney. TLDR: research ANY Disneyland dining package (outside of the app!) before booking.
Tasty
Ate dinner here during a very busy time. This was surprisingly good. Family of four. Every one of us enjoyed - a really hard thing to accomplish. We all had the fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes. I am pretty picky about fried chicken. The chicken was good. Green beans were okay. Mashed potatoes were tasty and not instant. Everything was hot. Biscuit was just okay. It was a huge plate of food. We all tried the pixar cake as well. Really cute if you are the kind of person who photographs your food. It has fruity cake layers with cream cheese frosting. Not sure if it was so good I would eat it again. Just FYI, the place is a little confusing when busy so, as you go in the door, make sure to grab your tray as you line up. The price is “Disney sit-down reasonable.”
Not the best especially for the price. Characters skip your table if you are in a back table.
It was ok. We had reservations and were seated in a back corner area. My 3 year old was so excited but unfortunately the characters kept skipping our table and going to the next. We spent 15 minutes following Pluto around the restaurant trying to get a picture with him after he went to the tables in front of ours but totally ignored us and my daughter wanted to meet him so bad. She almost had a meltdown because Pluto kept ignoring us when we were following him around trying to get his attention. I had to talk to someone who worked there who said they come to the tables and we should wait (kind of rudely and I explained he went right past our table in the corner and she said he probably didn't see us because we are hidden away) we didn't choose our table. We had the same problem trying to meet Tigger, the person chaporoning him told us we needed to go to our table and he'd come around and I explained that he skipped us. They acted like we chose where we were put and seemed annoyed that my 3 year old wanted to meet the characters. Do NOT get stuck at table 20. I definitely recommend Goofy's Kitchen over Plaza Inn. The characters went to most tables but not all.
Don’t book a late character breakfast reservation
Made a 10:40 AM character breakfast reservation at the Plaza Inn. Checked in at 10:40 and promptly took a photo and autographs with Minnie. By the time we were sat at our table it was 10:50 and I went to grab our family of four food from the buffet while characters started coming to our table. Dale, Tigger, Pluto and the mouse from Cinderella came over to our table and took photos while we were eating. Then, around 11:20, the characters starting disappearing and they started to put away the breakfast food (lunch starts at Noon and I thought this was early). Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet Chip and Winnie the Pooh while also not getting much food. My daughters convinced us to go to Critter Country and wait an hour to meet Winnie the Pooh afterwards. We had great character dining experiences at Storytellers at Grand Cal which I would easily recommend over what happened at the Plaza Inn.
Breakfast with the characters
I was hesitant at first paying such a lot for a “Breakfast with the Characters” experience but wow was it worth it. My daughter absolutely loved it and was grinning from ear to ear. The breakfast itself is ok but not great. Plenty of room for improvement in the food itself. The service was also terrible - I asked for a coffee explaining that I had a toddler and did not want to leave her at the table alone and whilst the breakfast was advertised as self service I didn’t think the drinks would be - I was told to get it myself! Waitress service barely visible and expected better for the price. The characters however are wonderful, they came to our table several times. Certainly the highlight of the day at Disneyland for my daughter and I’m glad that I did it!

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Plaza Inn Anaheim to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Plaza Inn Anaheim!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
