Pizzeria Bianco Scottsdale Reviews
I came here with friends and we shared a large pizza.
The crust was thin but held the toppings well. The sauce had a wonderful blend of spices that gave it depth. The cheese melted evenly and tasted rich. The staff was attentive and kept our drinks filled. We'll definitely come back for another gathering.
The wait was about 15 minutes on a Saturday.
Valet parking is available adjacent to the restaurant for $10. There is an air conditioned waiting area in the building next door and you can order alcoholic drinks while waiting for your table. The dining area is very small and there were picnic table outside. Service was quick and friendly. Water and complimentary bread with olive oil was brought as soon as we sat down. We shared the farmers market salad It was delicious with fresh peaches. We also shared the Sonny boy pizza. It was too greasy for me from the salami and my companion thought it was too salty.

We had a group of 12 so ordered a wide variety of menu items. Some of which I didn't get photos of. The mushrooms on the antipasto were marinated and fantastic. The little gem and the market salad were both crisp and very flavorful. We tried all 4 of the homemade pastas which were hearty and delicious. The pizzas were all divine and the vibrant flavors of the blancoverde and the rosa stole the show. We had some excellent red and white wines to accompany everything and left no room for desert! The restaurant itself is adorable and eclectic. And our server was a pro at handling a large group all by herself and providing great recommendations.

I came to this place on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, after hearing endless hype about it being the "#1 pizza spot in Arizona." My wife ordered the Margherita and I got the Wise Guy. Service was friendly, but that's where the positives ended. The pizza was overpriced and completely underwhelming. For the mark-up they charge, you'd expect flavor, quality, and care--yet the pizza was bland and disappointing. I still ate it since it was my first meal after a 16-hour fast, but I wish I hadn't. By 2 a.m. the next morning, I woke up with chills and severe food poisoning. The only other thing I had eaten that day was a homemade sandwich with fresh ingredients, so I know exactly where this came from. I was violently sick and miserable, and I'm still feeling lingering effects as I write this. On top of that, I paid $10 for valet parking--just to walk a few feet into a restaurant that served me overpriced, overhyped, and ultimately unsafe food. This was a total letdown and a waste of hard-earned money. I will never return, and I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone.
Wow what can I say.
. We stopped in for lunch, the parking near by is valet very convenient. We were greeted with smiles sat quickly. This ambiance is rustic, Tuscany vibes I absolutely love it being a native to AZ goes well with the area. The food was absolutely fantastic, I watched Chris Bianco on Netflix Chefs table and had to try it. The bread was so fluffy, but yet crispy light and airy and the flavors complimented eachother well on the pizzas we had. Sonny boy, and Margherita. Dessert was rice pudding with blueberry jam so tasty, and some lemon cookies. You have to try, very light and airy. I felt just right after I left.
Disappointment; not what it used to be
What disappointment! I have had Bianco pizza in the past. Love his baguettes . This is what I thought about his new approach : I am all for innovation but food is chemistry. Picking ingredients which do not complement or paired ! The quality has come down also; the pizza was soggy in oil ; it was so bad that I could not even swallow the bite . Also the pizza is skimmed in ingredients & addition of any toppings is ridiculously expensive ( I.e $6) I think Chris Bianco has lost it . Will not going to go back or recommend it to anyone. To be fair, the baguette is still good as well as the olive oil for dipping .
Pizza is a bit of Italy in Az! Fresh local ingredients!
Pizza is a bit of Italy in Az! Fresh local ingredients! House made mozzarella is the Best. Great service too!
Everything there lives up to the hype.
Amazing. if you are near, you should go here.

It's almost silly to talk about how great the pizza is from a place reviewed as the best pizza in America. So I'll leave that alone. Yes it's great pizza but if you haven't had Bianco's fresh mozzarella or his amazing chocolate chip cookies then you're missing out on part of the experience of pizzeria
If you're even remotely into pizza, Pizzeria Bianco is a
If you're even remotely into pizza, Pizzeria Bianco is a must, no exaggeration. Tucked inside Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix, this place is the kind of historic gem that lives up to the hype. Opened by Chris Bianco in the 1980s (yes, before downtown was even cool), it's been praised by everyone from the James Beard Foundation to Oprah. And for good reason. We came in on a hot Arizona afternoon, and from the second we walked in, the vibe was perfectooo, casual but elevated, cozy but buzzing with energy. The staff is super friendly and clearly takes pride in what they're serving. We ordered the Sonny Boy (with salami and olives salty, savory perfection) and the Farmer's Market Salad, which changes weekly. Ours had peaches this time, and it was the perfect sweet-savory combo to balance the richness of the pizza. The crust is what makes it: blistered just right from the wood-fired oven, with that chewy-soft center and crispy edge that's pure magic. Every bite tasted like it was made with intention. A heads up: there WILL be a wait, but it's worth every minute. Grab a drink and walk around Heritage Square while you wait--it adds to the experience. If you're a local and haven't been yet, fix that. If you're visiting Phoenix, this is the pizza pilgrimage you want to make.
Great little place with a historical feel love the twinkle
Great little place with a historical feel love the twinkle lights overhead and got visited by the cutie neighbor cat. The pizzas were crispy, hot & so yummy topped with the side of roasted mushrooms.
So fun best ever!
um so good I love it and Brooklyn is so nice all the people here are so nice and fun and we love!❤️ so so cute love the outdoors area
So good I went twice...
Found via the Time Out best restaurants listing. Visited a second time during my four day stay in Phoenix as the first evening's food, wine and service was brilliant. The second night was just as good as the first. Pizza was fantastic, great dough, toppings and cooked to a thin crispy perfection in the wood fired oven. Enjoyed with a couple of glasses for red wine I could not have been happier. Thanks Folks.
Best Pizza in Phoenix
It's rare that I give a place 5 starts across the board but this was some of the best pizza I've had. I showed up at the right time and was able to get a table inside almost right away...20 minutes later the was a wait. Ordered a few beers and pizza and it was fantastic. I 100% recommend this place if you're in the area and have a craving for pizza
Excellent service.
The service was excellent. We went because we were visiting the area and saw the restaurant was featured on diners, drive ins and dives. In our opinion it wasn’t that good of pizza. $28 for a small dinner plate sized pizza. I’m sure some absolutely love it. It just wasn’t our style pizza.
Not living up to the Michelin Star.
I really wanted to be wowed by the pizza. Not a lot of choices so went for the one which should have had the most flavor, soppressata and olive. The crust was delicious but the pizza lacked flavor. I was sad.
Wise Guy!
Great pizza and great service! I knew I had to make this place my first stop after landing in Phoenix after seeing Chris on the Netflix Chef's Table series. I ordered the wise guy pizza and it blew my mind! It reminded me of the pizza I have had while traveling through Italy. It was THAT good! Be prepared for the restaurant to be busy and to pay for parking. Worth it!
Good pizza and good service
I thought the pizza was good, but unlike the Netflix episode, I wouldn’t say it is the best. Service was good. I think it is a bit pricey for what you get…but probably get a premium for their reputation which is fair.
Una vera pizza italiana
Great atmosphere, great service and best of all... GREAT pizza. If you're looking for fast food type pizza you'll be disappointed. This is Italian-style, personal size, quality crust, sauce and toppings. I'm Italian and can vouche for it's authenticity.
Horrible
Yuck! The pizza was horrible it was cold and it wasn't like it looks in the picture. I would never order from here again online, or in restaurant
The food here is off the charts good.
Be prepared there WILL be a wait - they don't take reservations, but you can wait Nextdoor at the bar. All the staff was incredibly friendly. The building is pretty and very Italian on the inside.
The one and only.
Still hosting lines for pizza that brought something special to the table a few years ago. They are still rocking it
Waited an hour to be seated but well worth it.
We killed time at their bar next door. Pricing for the bar was a little outrageous--it was $12 for a canned peach cider that retails for $2. Ordered three pizzas and three salads and we enjoyed all of them. Server made great recommendations to slightly modify the pies. I don't remember what mods he recommended so I can't give anyone hacks, but I'm sure they can suggest something great. So good. I'm learning to be a home pizzaiolo with my Ooni but simply does not compare. This was easily the best pizza I've had, and I've had pizza in Naples.

Ordered the Margherita, Sonny Boy, and Wiseguy for party of 4. My favorites were the Margherita and Sonny Boy. With the Margherita, the freshness of the tomato sauce, characteristic of an Italian pizza, is on full display. On the Sonny Boy, the Soopressata steals the show with its explosion of flavor (salty and spicy). Dining experience is quite nice with the garage door style openings that give the space an open vibe, allowing you to see the other walkways of ROW DTLA.
I love the vibe of this place.
Service is speedy and they are very attentive to guests. I've been many times and usually opt for the pizza and a salad but this time I tried the salami sandwich and was not disappointed. It was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you've never been, it's phenomenal. Dave, the GM doesn't cut corners and it shows in the impeccable food and service.
Lives up to the hype! Amazing pizza.
Each of us ordered a different pizza so we got to try everything. Valet parking for $10 was expensive but worth not having to drive anymore in downtown phoenix. Close enough to the airport to go before our flight!
I recommend this place to anyone who's visiting phoenix.
It's one of the best pizza / sandwich spots I've ever had! The inside is so cute and feels like you're not even in Arizona. The service is fantastic and the Pizzeria Bianco team has a great team. Best place to eat in all of Phoenix!
great service! came on a Tuesday night at 5pm & waited
great service! came on a Tuesday night at 5pm & waited around 15 minutes for a table for 4! staff was quick & attentive & food was very delicious!
This is a small pizza spot in a really neat and quiescent
This is a small pizza spot in a really neat and quiescent art neighborhood known as Heritage square. It's a very popular place so expect up to an hour wait. They told us it would take an hour on an early Monday afternoon even though it didn't look packed. Luckily for us, they were able to get us a table in 20 minutes instead. Sandwiches are only served until 4pm. The pizzas themselves are bigger than pan pizza, but smaller than a small pizza. Adding extra toppings can cost you anywhere from $4-$7. Some of their pizzas don't have red sauce and I tried one of them: a biancoverde which comes with mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, ricotta, and argula. I added proscuitto to this and my order came out to around $36 (includes tax and tip). I really enjoyed the quality of an oil based pizza; I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. However, it was quite a messy affair and I wish the proscuitto pieces were cut smaller. Although good, my mind wasn't blown and it was quite expensive for how little pizza I got. Overall, an above average experience.
Service was amazing! And the food was also just as good.
I wouldn't recommend if don't want to wait ! But if you have the time it's worth it. We will definitely be back to visit again.
Must try the Rosa!
So happy to that there was valet parking. We arrived around 4:00 pm and we were seated immediately. The place is small. The service was immediate. The homage mozzarella was really too much for two but it was delicious served with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil and olive oil. The bread was amazing. We order a margarita pizza and a Rosa. The margarita was very similar what is served in Italy. Nice thin crust. The Rosa was very different and creative. Rosa has pistachios, red onions, Parmigiano Reggiano. Loved it. Woukd go back again
Pizza was good but poor customer service ruined it…
Pizza was good but customer service ruined it… After waiting almost 2 hours for a table, we were seated inside and waited for acknowledgment. Our flighty waitress who was more concerned with flirting and socializing….first forgot our drinks….AND then after many tables ate after us, we realized she also forgot to put in our order!!!!! She actually never came to our table again after that. It was obvious she was avoiding us. After our son finally asked the pizza chef if any of those were ours…we received our pizzas with no explanation or apologies. We know they were aware because our bill was discounted nearly 50%, but still with no acknowledgment or apology. Sadly wouldn’t go back just because of the lack of customer service.
Second time here, as satisfying as the first, but it ain't New Haven quality pie
Pizza is like politics: everyone has an opinion, everyone is right. But there is debate to make it interesting. I've eaten here twice. The first time was 2020 before the Netflix episode and we didn't have any wait. The second was 2024 and this one had a nearly 2 hour wait. The pizza was excellent both times but it isn't the scrumptious, legendary pie we get in New Haven, CT at Sally's Apizza. The sauce at PB isn't as tasty as Sally's, the crust isn't as chewy and crispy with that perfect char that coal-fired ovens seem to produce so well. Will ai come back a third time? You bet: PB is a treat even with the wait.
High Expectations and Great Disappointment
We've been meaning to try this location for years and finally decided to find out if the food matches the hype. NOT by far!! Don't believe the hype and Netflix!!! To say the pizza is mediocre would be a very generous statement. We got there at 11:30 and waited 30min to be seated. The restaurant is in a beautiful area and the place itself is very appealing. The service was superb and the star of the show. The gentleman who served us was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ordered two pizzas, margherita and wiseguy, and both were burnt, but the wiseguy was flavorless... like eating a piece of warm cardboard. One would think that roasted onions, smoked mozzarella, and fennel sausage would be a lovely combination of flavors, but not here... warm and dry cardboard. The best thing we had here was the bread and olive oil. To say this is the best pizza place in America is a bad joke! I wish Chris Bianco tried the pizza we were served to see what he'd say... We cannot recommend this place as we will never return!
All Pizza Should Be This Good.
Because of the accolades bestowed on Pizzeria Bianco, I would be remiss not joining the pilgrims to this joint. Chris Bianco, master of the pies, blazes 6 categories of these circles in his wood fired oven. I fell for the Rosa, a white pie crowned with pistachios, red onions, Parmigiano Reggiano and probably some other magical ingredients. This is what you want for your last meal.................. all pizza should be this good.
After 2 hours waiting, bad surprise
Disappointed. Ordered 3 pizzas, 2 came over cooked and very charred at the bottom, could not finished one, send back the second. The manager was very kind to refund both, but that does not fix the issue. I knew they were supposed to be a little charred because of the wood fire oven, but these were barely edible, of course dry and the char overcame the dough taste. The third one was balanced and it was good, but I cannot accept that the best pizzeria in US has 2 out of 3 wrong. Also the manager admitted that they do not always check the bottom…really???
Ok
Pizza was good. I had to wait over2hours to get in and get the pizza . there is a bar next-door you can wait in and take any unfinished alcohol over to the pizza parlor. But you cannot take pizza into the bar.
meh...
With all the hype, I was excited, maybe too excited. This just did not meet the mark for amazing pizza. It was okay pizza, over priced for sure. I tried two, the white and the pistachio. The fresh mozzarella was delicious, but the rest of it was mediocre. Many places are better.
As seen on Netflix, I had to pay a visit to Pizzeria Bianco
As seen on Netflix, I had to pay a visit to Pizzeria Bianco while in town. Luckily we were able to snag a table pretty easily while here and had such a great experience. I came here with a foodie colleague and while I'm pretty easy to please, my friend is a bit harder to impress. Well, we both leave here super happy, and we even saw Chris Bianco himself while dining here! We were too shy to say hi but it was still such a cool addition to our time. The pizzas were divine and you could see them as they baked in the brick oven on site. A pretty intimate setting, this spot is great for lunch and dinner alike. There's a good amount of seating and it gets pretty cozy inside. We ordered the Margherita and the Rosa with the Rosa being a personal favorite. We also got a salad, which was super fresh, and I got to try orange wine for the first time! If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely be back for even just the Rosa pizza alone!
Rarely does a place live up to its hype, but this did.
Wait was an hour on the nose. The pizzas were great, but the crust and sauce stood out. The crust had just the right amount of carbon char that I love. The sauce was sweet. Mariana was great, and the sopprsaseta on the Sonny Boy was perfect. The Rosa was a revelation, flavors I've never had and I can't stop thinking about. I would come back for sure.
Finally got to try the world famous Pizzeria Bianco.
I was going to see Springsteen that night so I got there at what I thought was early 4:15pm on a Tuesday. He said it would be about an hour wait and it was. While waiting I talked to a lady who said she's been trying to eat here for four years. I did check on my wait time once and he was quoting people 3.5 hours! On a Tuesday!! It does only hold 42 people. But... It was worth the wait. I got the "Sonny Boy" - tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, gaeta olives and salami. One bite in I had made the right choice! The only negative... I also had a diet coke and with tip it was $40. But I'd do it again. The best pizza I've ever tried! Note: the pizza might look a little burned on the crust, it wasn't.
This is a solid pizza joint.
I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I've ever had but it was tasty and delicious. We were in Phoenix for a work conference and felt that we had to try it so we waited an hour during a lunch break (we were quoted 1 hr and 40) versus the two plus hour waits at dinner time. Our group tried four out of the six pizza choices and each were yummy. Our favorite was the white pizza followed by the wise guy and Sonny boy. We also had the margherita. I think I personally don't like the thin middle of wood fired pizzas because it doesn't hold up the toppings but the flavor was delicious and the chew of the pizza quite nice. I would definitely recommend people try it for themselves but I can say in hindsight that I would've been okay if I hadn't had pizza here.
Good Neapolitan Pizza
Went on a weekday afternoon about 1:30, no waiting for indoor seating! Good service, 3 of us, we each ordered a pizza, with leftovers to take home. Nice flavorful thin crust ! Menu not very big!
Went to the Town and Country location and this is really
Went to the Town and Country location and this is really good pizza. Nearly life changing type of good. We've been there twice and have gotten the Bianco Verde pizza both times since I don't eat meat. It's different and the flavors are so rich. Service was good.
Certainly lives up to the hype, worth the wait.
Pizza is amazing, probably in the Top 5 throughout the US. Chris Bianco is the nicest guy ever, watching him interact with his staff, you can see he treats everyone like family.

The pizza is really good, the service is very good, but is too pricey I will recommend this place if you don't want to go broke lol
Don't bother.
Pretentious and rude. So what if it's great pizza, the front staff act like jerks.
Destination worthy pizza.
My number 1 stop when traveling to Phoenix. It's a small space but the accompanying bar next door is great for a glass of beer, wine or cocktail while waiting.
Best pizza in the world and I've been to Italy.
If you're in phoenix, this should be your first stop. No joke, greatest pizza you've ever had! We go every week as an end of rue week celebration.
We arrived 1/2 hour before they opened on a weekday and
We arrived 1/2 hour before they opened on a weekday and were second in line. Were waited on right away after we were seated. We started with spiedini which was delicious! And then for the main attractions - pizza! We tried Margherita, Biancoverde, and Wiseguy. All were great! Not the best pizza we've ever had especially for the price but did not disappoint.
