Papi Steak Las Vegas Reviews
Had dinner late on a Saturday night.
The place was somewhat dark. It was full of people with a lot going on. Several times the "beef case"" was delivered to the table next to us. It was quite a production. Overall the food was good. The filet was exceptional. The service was attentive. However, I found the place to be too loud. Perhaps my age or maybe just a tad too noisy to enjoy the meal.
My 69th birthday celebration at Papi Steak was phenomenal
My 69th birthday celebration at Papi Steak was phenomenal to say the least. From Georgio, the waiter who served us, to Jessica, the senior manager, to Courtney, one of the dancers, it was a spectacular evening that I will not soon forget. Please relay my sincere appreciation & complements to the entire staff at Papi Steak who made my birthday celebration a great success. Thank-you...
Exceptional dinner at Papi Steak.
This place was recommended to us and we couldn't be happier. Our server Lalo was amazing, coming from two servers ourselves. The ambiance was so chic and was great entertainment. They even saw me taking pictures of our food and brought out a huge light for me for each meal, loved it!!! Not one critique about the drinks and food, we loved it!
Mind blowing food experience!! Enough cannot be said about
Mind blowing food experience!! Enough cannot be said about how amazing this restaurant is. Anyone going to Vegas MUST make a reservation at Papi Steak to ensure you get to eat here. I was here in July and man what a delicious meal!! The restaurant is located in Fontainebleau Hotel, on the second floor; atop the escalators by the slot machines. The staff are so friendly and welcoming as you arrive. The restaurant has very cool vibes; a live DJ is playing music near the entrance as you walk in. The restaurant is open, with the tables and booths surrounding the bar and kitchen almost like a concert stage. Our server was very friendly, and super professional. You immediately feel you are about to have an elevated dining experience. The food... next level. All dishes are amazing. We ordered multiple sides and appetizers to share, and I had the salmon which was fantastic. For dessert, you have to go for the strawberries and cream crème brûlée It's their signature dessert, served in a special caviar tin. !!!!! This place is . It's one of the best. I'll make a point of returning on future Vegas trips.
Very fun place and food is amazing.
This is not a place for quiet date night steak. It's like a night club for steak and great food. The pastrami appetizer is fantastic. Lots of high end drinks with imagination. It is loud in this place but very fun. Food is amazing and might be overshadowed by the presentation, it is very high quality .
I'll confess my buddy n I didn't look at the website before
I'll confess my buddy n I didn't look at the website before being taken here by our wives. Arrived 10 mins early for a Sunday 7pm reservation, seated after a 3 min wait. I believe the hostess was waiting for her tip. Place is almost empty but we are seated next to a large table of 11. Place is well decorated, red velvet, soft lighting and music. They take our cocktail order and the dinner menu is quite expensive. Caviar, shellfish platter, crab n Lobster and Wagyu Beef. Before our drinks come the big loud guy from the table of 11 comes over and falls on our table. Manager comes out to make sure we are ok. Expected our first round to be free at this point but it was not. We order our dinner, I order Lamb Chops for $80 n side of cream spinach $30. Wives split a salad and pasta dish. My buddy has a steak n mashed potatoes. Place starts to fill up about 7:30n the DJ cranks it loud about 8pm. So loud we ask that it be turned down but the waiter refuses. Says this is a party place n Friday/Saturday they have Burlesque girls dancing on the bar tops. At this point, several guests are wearing baseball caps n there is a table of all men wearing shorts n tee shirts. 8:30 under the punishing music we decide to leave without desert. We are just not hip enough. $488 before tip for drinks, 3 entrees, 2 sides and a salad. No charge for the drunk falling on us. My lamb was excellent but would not return.
not a pleasant dinner experience.
it's really a club, not a fine dining venue. dress code listed on the website, but means nothing. slobs are welcome. doesn't appear that over serving guests is frowned upon. several drunks seen roaming around and falling on guests. they should really be serving bar food and not hi-end steaks. can't really carry on a conversation, music is way too loud. i like fine dining and the club scene, but not in the same venue. it just doesn't work.
I was disappointed on my visit.
The ambiance was nice and loud, service was friendly but the food wasn't so great. I ordered a ribeye that cost $130 bucks, when it came out it had no flavor and over cooked. I let the waiter know and he fixed it for me. When the new steak came out, it still had no flavor. I tried my friends filet and that also had no flavor. This is a "steak" place, it's in the name and was very disappointed. I've had better steaks at a Texas Roadhouse. This place is good for drinks but wouldn't recommend much of the food. I don't mind paying good money for a steak but I expect it to be good and flavorful. Appetizers were ok. Not coming back.
Food was amazing Service was definitely great the guy made
Food was amazing Service was definitely great the guy made suggestions it's a entire vibe
Went here to take my partner for their birthday, but the
Went here to take my partner for their birthday, but the food was just not worth the high price point. We ordered the black truffle risotto, espresso martini, oro king salmon, dry age boneless ribeye, and truffle fries. Everything was pretty good except the steak. It was so tough and for a $100+ steak we had to complain about. They were super nice and remade it, but it was just a bummer they messed it up and we got really full waiting. The food just took a long time to come out in general. The restaurant is very nice in terms of the club vibe it gives, definitely not a quiet fancy place but that's what we wanted. I would probably not come back here. It was confusing to find the place from the parking structure too.
A complete experience! Stellar service, delicious food, awesome DJ!
What a wonderful time we had at Papi Steakhouse located inside the Fontainebleau hotel. Firstly, it’s absolutely stunning! Decor is a 10/10 with richness and beautiful details…even the dinner napkins are elegant and monogrammed. From the moment we walked in the VIP treatment was in full effect. Service is stellar! Theo took amazing care of us from start to finish. DJ Irvin had us out of chairs dancing our shoes off spinning hit after hit. And the manager Jessica even came by to ensure our happiness and gave us some delicious Papi shots! And the food was just as amazing as the atmosphere and the service. The filet mignon was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The crab cake melted in my mouth and the sauce it is prepared with was culinary perfection!!! The Brussel sprouts were amazing. The truffle risotto gave me life!!! Outstanding… you must try it! Of course there’s a full bar. Espresso martinis were top tier!!! Loved the Chanel cocktail served by the drink genies and topped with a spritz of rose water! It was literally just a complete experience!! And we were so excited to see someone order the $1000 PAPI Tomahawk steak. The whole restaurant lights up and the staff gathered and did a full on celebration. It was awesome to see. I highly recommend and will return.
Great food, fun atmosphere, terrific service. Extremely pleased.
Staying at Fountainbleau, I had seen reviews of Papi Steak and wanted to try it. Made reservations, which is required, although it was quiet on a Monday night. Elegant but vibrant interior. Was seated quickly by an amazingly friendly and beautiful young lady from Mexico with the warmest smile. Great start!! My waiter was Georges (I hope I'm right). He was extremely helpful and very pleasant and attentive. As per usual, I am a single diner, so atmosphere and service is VERY important to me. Papi Steak did not fail. Ordered a cocktail, the whisky sour which I must admit was rather blah, the least of all great dinner!! Drinks are expensive, as it the food. Question is, is it good. Answer, def!! Started with the chilled prawns $36 for 4 prawns, served with both the cocktail and remoulade sauce. Served beautifully on a bowl of crushed ice, and they were excellent. Preparation and delivery very well done. A tad behind Anthony's at the M's, but not by much. They were a good size, meaty, very tasty and the sauces, especially the cocktail, nice. My main was the 6 oz American Wagyu filet done medium at $105 and the roasted Brussels' Sprouts which were $21.00. Before dinner arrived, the show went off as 2 table ordered their famous $1000 44oz Tomahawk and the show went on. It's fun to watch, yup, a bit over the top for sure, but this is like a dining/entertainment value, so you get the best of both Worlds. I actually loved it. Meal arrived in decent time, not rushed, which I liked, I could enjoy the abidance, and since it wasn't crowded, the noise levels were not obtrusive. Food arrived, and it looked fantastic. The steak was perfectly booked to medium with a nice pink center, and def tender and juicy. I went right to the sprouts though, as I had waited for those forever. Spectacular, a bit of chili's added onto the top, roasted perfectly with an amazing sweet and tart glaze, they were absolutely great!! Then came the steak and it was very good. I had never eaten Wagyu before, and don't pretend to be a beef expert, but it was certainly flavorful and tender. Finished every bit. No room for dessert for me tonight. Bill totally to close to $200, just for myself, but the 20% tip for Georges, so def an expensive meal. Not something to do every day, but on a yearly visit, YES!! I can see myself returning. Billed to the room as you get points for everything you buy at Fountainbleau, so keep this in mind. I was very pleased with every aspect of this. It's elegant, but not too stuffy, rather fun, with the show, and the food, def worth the visit. Maybe a different drink choice next time, but not everything is perfect. This came close. Thanks to George my waiter, all of the other staff who kept the table cleaned during every part of the meal, (also while refilling water constantly) and the hostess for being so sweet and starting the night out perfectly. That's great staffing, which is important for a venue of this style and price. Good job, Papi's. See you in 2026.
Best steak house we’ve ever experienced. The restaurant is gorgeous. It’s definitely a Vegas experience.
From the minute you walk up to the restaurant you realize how special this place is . It’s gorgeous on the inside. It’s a show and dinner must see.
Fun fun fun
If you are after a fun, loud dining experience, then this is it. Service and food was awesome. Was a little concerned based on the reviews but whilst expensive it was an epic experience. Will be back.
Great food and service Not my vibe. Only come hear if you love rap and high prices.
If you are not into loud rap music in a lounge environment you should go to Don’s Prime on the same level at Fountainebleau. I personally don’t like the music’s intrusiveness and “one style” approach. Only one classic song from Al Green. The rest was rap many with questionable taste and so loud it’s difficult to have a conversation. Aside from that debacle, the wine list is prices at about 4x to 4.5x the retail price of your favorite wine. Mine I could buy at retail for $165.00 was priced at $550.00. And there were nearly no wines at $250 or lower The food was outstanding! The dry age NY strip was perfect at MR+. The Mac &Cheese was the best I’ve had in decades. Shrimp cocktail was perfect. The prices, however, be ready for a real hit on your wallet. The steak was $125. A petite filet was over $90 for 8oz. The service was excellent and very professional. Just first class. Cocktails were also done very well and served by a lovely, professional cocktail waitress. A+ there too. The decor is spectacular. Truly unique and creative. My wife loved the vibe. I hated it. Therein lies the problem. She wants to come back. I don’t. But it the music scene IS your scene, and the prices don’t bother you, this is a spectacular place.
Steak Party
It’s effectively a club vibe with extremely good food. Loud? Undeniably. Fun? Yes. Everything we ordered was excellent, with the pastrami being the one of the best things I’ve probably ever had.
Bold, Sexy, and All About the Vibe
Papi Steak is pure Vegas drama—dark, moody, and unapologetically over-the-top. The tomahawk steak is the star of the show (go for the Papi Steak presentation if you’re feeling bold), but the pastrami appetizer is a standout in its own right. Don’t skip dessert—the strawberry crème brûlée is to die for. Service is sharp, and the energy is high—perfect for a special night out with a party vibe.
Beautiful restaurant...if you can get seated
1. We had a 7 pm reservation...it's 8 :08 pm.. still waiting to be seated... My wife is hungry and pissed!! Hopefully I survive
High hopes, but mediocre at best
Made reservations for son's 21st birthday, which we indicated on the reservation. The food was decent, but not worth the price tag, and it was clear our server wasn't interested in our table. We watched him join other birthday announcements, but nothing at ours. We opted to just order entrees and leave.
Would not return
Had a 5:30 reservation. Ordered the pretzel bread (which was very good) but our server told us “the chef wants all food ordered at the same time”- we didn’t like that very much. I ordered the 8oz filet - which was just ok Partner ordered the 8 oz wagyu- again just ok. Whipped potatoes were good. Partner LOVED the maitake mushrooms. Our biggest issue was how dark the restaurant was, they used flashlights to have us cut into our steaks, they had actually served us the other persons steak. We used our phones several times to see the food items before we put it in our mouths. Our verdict is the restaurant is overrated and overpriced. Perhaps more training for the servers. We would not return or recommend to friends.
