Horrible evening - pompous rude matre’d set stage for awful experience.
Awful experience. Had a 5.45 reservation, set on purpose to allow enough time for a concert my wife and I were attending at casino later in evening. Arrived at 5.43 pm and very rude matre’d asked us to stand over “there” Meanwhile a big party gets rushed in for seating. Another disgruntled customer came and was arguing about something with matre’d and after 10 minutes, went up to ask for ETA. This pompous rude matre’d basically very coldly tells me to wait until he talks with these people. Meanwhile another employee apparently aes what’s going on, takes us to hostess stand, who immediately seat us in the half empty restaurant. Zero reason for us to have been waiting well past reservation time. This set stage for a horrible experience - The waiter was solid. The food was average and way over priced. Average age of customer was in seventies and very lame ambience and atmosphere. $300 plus meal for two and waste of money Do not go here View is great, but after being treated rudely, who cares
Decent place for a bevvie. Study the resort map first.
Stopped in at Orange Sky before heading to Top Golf for a bevvie and to check it out. Very nice service at the bar, good for a glass of wine. No views when sitting at the bar, but try for a living room setting against the windows for a better view. Tried to check out the 14th-floor bar on the way out, but may be private (elevator button did nothing). Finding Orange Sky is quite another thing. It was my first time at Talking Stick Resort. I admittedly am not great navigating casinos. It was a journey and two questions from the west end before I found the elevator to Orange Sky from where I parked on the west end. I should have parked near the east end. From the east end, just keeping walking straight past hotel registration to the the bar at the other end of the wide aisle (which I will check out next time...it had a great vibe); take a left, and keep going towards the conceirge desk. Another left gets you to Orange Sky's elevator bank. It would have been a better journey if the signage to Orange Sky began as soon as you entered (either end).
Took a date out for dinner
The service was fantastic. The waitress was nice and all over it. The lounge tables were unique and private. We had a late dinner so could not see the city but it was still cool. The food was unique, I tried the wild game but we had to send the Chilean Sea Bass and another dish back. To be honest, the food was the low light. The restaurant promptly changed the dishes out so it was ok. However, the desert was very good. I'll give it another chance later in the year. Would recommend you give it a try.
Arrogant and snooty staff
Went there solo at 5pm and the place was empty. I asked for a window table facing camelback. Was showed a table in the middle of the room. When I asked again for a window table I was til it would be a $200 minimum. I left. The arrogance of this place rivals any NYC snootary. Shameful!
Orange Sky Fails
We dined at Orange Sky last night. It was a complete and utter disappointment. My sister was attending a conference from out of town. We live in QC. The only nice thing we can offer is . The server was unattentive and very slow. It was not even busy last night. My sister and the view was nice. I ordered the pasta with shrimp. It was horrible to say the least. It was overcooked, flavorless and pasty. It was the worst pasta dish I have ever ordered. After 2-3 bites I was done. My sister had the exact same opinion. My husband ordered the skirt steak. It was subpar at best. Lots of grizzle and very disappointing. Even the brussel sprouts were not tasty. My husband's martini olives were rancid and gross. Our server never asked why we barely ate. She could not bother with us. Our check was $307!!
A happy anniversary
An anniversary celebration that started with a fabulous corner window. The view itself was worth the price but the meal exceeded our expectations. Diego was always on spot for our needs. We had cheese tray with roasted tomato’s caprese for appetizer and lamb chops/small tenderloin seared to perfection. Wines by the glass were excellent and ended with a complimentary dessert. Oh, and to top it off we won enough in the casino to clever the whole thing and then some!
Incredible Service
All the food was delicious but the service is what separates this restaurant from others. Regina was amazing as our server. She recognized that my brother had a sunburn and without asking or recommending, she brought him wash cloths and a type of tea that he could use to apply on his arms. She was so friendly and attentive, especially since we had little kids with us too. I would go back just because of her!
Anniversary Dinner
Top floor of Casino. Sunset view is very nice, food excellent. cocktails pricey. Had the sea bass and rib eye both were great.
5 Stars Experience
We had dinner her and it was an excellent experience. The views from there are beautiful specially at sun set. The place is elegant and we had a private dining room with a great view just to ourselves. The food was excellent and the service was superb. This was definately a memorable fine dining experience. Highly recommended!
Disappointing on many levels unfortunately
Firsthand, I never write any negative reviews, as a past owner of a restaurant I know it is difficult to please everyone even when you do your best to do so. Our experience last night lead me to take the time to submit a review though. We made reservation there for a special occasion the MAIN reason to choosing Orange Sky was the view, I called to made sure we would be able to get a table at the window. Got there and our table was not anywhere close to the window. It went downhill from there. We asked if we could move at least closer to the window and the host told us the other tables were reserved for others. But shortly aftwerward, a group our size came in and asked the same server if they could move closer to the window the same table we inquired about and she said sure you can sit there instead. Our server was personable and good but the service became very slow and non-existent after our meals were served. It took close to 30 minutes to pay to leave. The food overall was marginal and really inconsistent, one of our orders of asparagus was so spicey no one could eat it the other order of asparagus was okay. One of the rib eye steak was extremely tough the other two were tender but none of them were seasoned very much. My beef stroganoff was a watery broth. Another interesting thing, we had a party of 6 and when we went to pay l just happened to look to see if they automatically charged gratuity, which they had charge 20% which was not a problem but nowhere didn't it indicate ahead of time or did the server mention it. I am sure many people tip on top of the 20% they already charge as we about to do so. Unfortunately, with so many wonderful places to go eat and as far as we drove to celebrate our special occasion, it was disappointing to say the least.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)

* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* DistinguishedTree58, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* DistinguishedTree58 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to DistinguishedTree58 for any questions Peter may have as DistinguishedTree58 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* DistinguishedTree58 now uses their connections at Orange Sky Scottsdale to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If DistinguishedTree58 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, DistinguishedTree58 receives the $200 reward which is credited to DistinguishedTree58's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Orange Sky Scottsdale!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
