Loved the vibes, music, and atmosphere! I totally get the hype, the food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The music brought back some great memories, too. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous for the price, especially for California. Definitely would go back!

This place was super cute inside with such unique decorations! The workers were very friendly and attentive. I got to try the lobster eggs benedict and the breakfast carbonara. Both were good; however, the carbonara was a bit dry. Since it's kind of outdoors, expect beetles and birds to randomly fly in. I definitely did not enjoy that part, but overall, this place was a 4/5 for me. The Japanese soufflé was really good and a must! Also, I recommend coming during the weekdays for less wait time.

3/5 by 👻 @Delfin T. on 07/23/2024

We waited more than an hour just to leave our name and number on the waiting list, and then another 45 minutes to receive the text that our table was ready. The place has a cool vibe, and the staff are attentive, friendly, and upbeat. We ordered the benny lobster and added caviar on top. The benny lobster was delicious and came with a light, refreshing salad on the side. The caviar just made it more intagramable but didn't add much else. We also tried their famous soufflé pancake (aka Japanese pancake) with a side of berries. Unfortunately, it wasn't as fluffy as those we've had elsewhere, and we didn't really enjoy it, leaving it unfinished. Overall, the meal was fine. Would I come back again? If I'm with a group of friends and one person waits in line for us... sure! Otherwise, it's a hard pass for me, as there are many other breakfast places with similar food that don't have such a ridiculously long wait.

About an hour wait at 10:30AM on a summery Saturday

5/5 by 👻 @Maria M. on 07/22/2024

About an hour wait at 10:30AM on a summery Saturday morning, but absolutely worth it! We were a group of four, I got the smoked salmon with a side of bone marrow, my husband got the fried rice, my friend got the smoked salmon, and her husband got the birria tacos. I can't have any dairy and they accommodated really well and were knowledgeable enough of the menu to make recommendations to me. The whole place is really cute as well- with waiters wearing costumes, and funny notes sprinkled in the menu. Can't wait to go back.

3/5 by 👻 @Michelle N. on 07/20/2024

5. I think this place is over hyped. Beautiful IG but I kinda felt like I went to the Capitol in hunger games - it's more of an experience than go to for the food. The decor is INSANELY beautiful as quirky - everywhere you look, there is something outrageous so I loved that like the strawberry roach wall paper by the bathroom, the entire mirror bathroom with a bade! But the pigeons in this open rooftop air space were annoying especially right near the kitchen. Service - insanely quick, my soufflé pancakes came out 5-10 minutes after ordering and my breakfast carbona was right after! Our waitress was cool and all the waiters are helpful if you need anything. The food... over the top and good/okay. Decadent and also flat. My breakfast carbonara felt like glorified Kraft Max n cheese - gooey, lots of bacon. Not necessarily how I cook @ home so it was heavy day off and tasted better the day after! My soufflé pancakes were yummy, a weird texture but yummy. Do not get the whipped cream and berries - it's $6 you can save but I'm glad I got it to break up the richness of all the food. I would go back with a girls group or if I were terribly hungover. I think it's a San Diego Staple and everyone needs to go at least once but if you're more of an avocado toast person, this isn't your place.

5/5 by 👻 @Syreeta A on 06/23/2024

This spot was lots of fun. The breakfast was excellent, they don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait in line. We went on a Saturday around 11am and had a 90min wait. It was fine because the farmers market was going on so that made the time go by really fast. We even stopped and had Salt and Straw Ice cream while waiting. Make the best of it because the meal was worth it.

The wait to get in is interminable. However, once you’re seated and get your food you forget all about it. You get a wide variety of choices and each one is better than the next. The standout was the soufflé pancakes which were so good they should be illegal. The French toast and the various benedict eggs were excellent as well. This is a must stop if you go to San Diego.

We showed up 10-15m before they opened and there was already a line forming outside. It moved quickly and we were seated after not too long of a wait. Amazing service. Cool decor. Perfect place for a boozy brunch. We ordered a Bloody Mary and espresso martini. The bloody came with a little side jar of pickles etc which was cool. The martini had some glittery sparkle in the foam which didn't come out in my picture but was fun. Both quite delicious. My hubby got birria tacos and I got the pasta. His tacos were great but I'm obsessed with the pasta dish. It was amazing. And we both added a side of bone marrow which was also delicious. They have a person come around with a dim sum type cart and we got a shot and a bun. The shot was great, the bun was just ok. The bathroom there is all mirrors it was trippy for sure. We saw other dishes being made/ walked by and everything looked super bomb. Next time we are in little Italy I'm totally going back for that pasta. I swear I dream about it lol.

It's very cute inside but is eating in a cute restaurant worth a 1.5 hour wait on a Monday morning? The food took a while to come and the staff were very strict and a bit unfriendly. It was very windy the top is open so our food got cold immediately, most of it was something I felt I could easily cook myself ,.. probably better. I think this place would be great if you were day drinking and predisposed to like it, but I've had much better brunch for much cheaper and in comparably cute places. Overall, I don't think I'd come back unless the wait was less than 10 min.

The food is great, atmosphere is fun, service could be better. We put our names down at 1:30 with a 2-hr wait. We waited and got seated around 3:15. Table was sticky and clearly hadn't been wiped down. We asked to wipe it, they did but still missed some spots. Ok, fine, we just finished wiping it ourselves. We ordered 3:20, we got our food, we were eating our food maybe 15 min, and the guy comes around asking if we want boxes. I almost started laughing. Can we eat first? We're literally still chewing. They were closing at 4 but if you're going to accept people at 3:15, at least give them time to eat. We politely accepted some boxes, but took those few min while he fetched them to finish up our food. Felt super rushed and uncomfortable. I would rather they stop accepting names at 1:30 than to wait, get in, then feel rushed out. Or maybe start accepting reservations, but I like this place overall, I hoping to see them become even better.

Got a table since it was close to the county government center and had just left a wedding, it was about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad. We were a party of 5 and got a very cramped table facing the bar. Or really why we picked this place since it's known for its beautiful views from the balcony. Service was ok, food took awhile but the drink arrived fast. I think that was the only saving grace. Drinks were very tasty, I'd recommend the passion fruit mimosa or the peach bellini. I'd recommend this place as the food was good but try to get a table near or in the balcony.

She dropped me off so I could get our name on the list as she found parking. At 8:45 am on a Thursday morning the wait was 10 to 15 minute for a table. The food is very good. I heard from the waitress it was the Soufflés pancakes that gave them their Michelin star. So we had to get that! They are so good! The vibe is fun but a bit twisted. We choose this place for a spontaneous family brunch. We arrived early, so we waited just around 20 minutes for a table. They gave us a table large enough for the baby and stroller. The service was generally nice and attentive. The restaurant however not really. The round sofa we were sitting on was not properly cleaned. And the food nothing special either. It is great though that they have vegan options and replace egg by tofu. I got a tofu scramble, which tasted ok. But there is certainly room for improvement when it comes to the presentation of the food. Overall an OK experience. Value for money more on the low side. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Very yummy, excessive wait time

4/5 by 👻 @googees on 02/13/2024

A fantastic choice of items on their brunch menu and the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had made this a really good place to visit. The wait for a table was excessive considering there were a large number of empty tables available, as well as seats at the bar. Feels a bit like creating a sense of demand that might not always be representative. The food was great. Chicken and waffles were good, as were the thick cut bacon sides! Would go here again, but could do without the 20 min wait in the rain (can’t blame the restaurant for the weather!)

Unique Breakfast Destination!

5/5 by 👻 @Henry’s Take on 01/27/2024

When preparing for a trip to Italy we received the best travel advice that we can recall and we have tried to apply it on each subsequent travel adventure. When facing the daunting task of attempting to experience all that Florence has to offer, the advice we received was: “you don’t ‘do’ Florence.” The application is simple enough. Florence offers such an extraordinary collection of experiences that if you attempt to cram everything in during a single trip you’ll end up exhausted and more numb than truly appreciative of what you’ve seen and done. Better to pace yourself and plan return visits. Following up on the recommendation of @1ehernandez, we had similar feelings when reviewing the menu at this restaurant. Their menu offers such a complex collection of intriguing options that we immediately concluded that you don’t “do” Morning Glory in a single visit. Clearly additional visits are required in order to gain a fuller understanding of this unique breakfast destination and the irony was not lost on us that it is located within the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego. One of the most creative (and slightly intimidating) menus that I’ve seen, both our Lobster Omelette and Chorizo Grande were just as satisfying as we had hoped and my coffee being poured from a Turkish pot elevated the quality of our experience even further. The dining room features an indoor/outdoor concept, so dress accordingly when visiting. During our visit it was 62 degrees and the sweaters we were wearing were appreciated. (Hey, for San Diego this is the dead of Winter and appropriate precautions must be taken to ensure one’s personal safety. 😉) While you’ll have ample opportunities to visit given that their doors stay open until 3:00 (4:00 on weekends), we’d recommend making a reservation because this place is popular and walk-in’s having to wait to be seated is not uncommon. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #breakfastinsandiego

Overhyped but still enjoyble

3/5 by 👻 @Michael U on 12/03/2023

As the only Michelin Bib Gourmand breakfast joint in America Morning Glory has definitely earned its accolades, though for those interested in a peaceful Brunch the space known for two-hour waits and n-bomb laden music at high decibels may not be worth the effort. Owned by Consortium Holdings, a no reservations policy and central positioning in Little Italy creating a scene each day, it is after a line up stairs to put one’s name on the list that guests are free to wander until texted, the same staircase eventually yielding access to a second story space lined in pink and kitsch. Purporting “breakfast dim sum,” the cart barely ever moving through tightly-packed tables, diners are invited to select from a supersized menu full of odd fonts and globally inspired fare ranging Fried Rice to Japanese Pancakes and Georgian Boat Bread. A difficult decision for just two, Souffle Pancakes an obvious choice that compares favorably to those found in the San Gabriel Valley, it was at the bar that Quesabirria proved competent despite lacking the complexity of many while the Skillet Pancake is shareable by a family and loaded with good Ingredients.

I didn't mind the wait because of how excited I was to try this spot. The problem I did have was with the waitress, Rebecca, I believe her name was. She pretty much had a lot to say in regards to what we were ordering and how much. 1st comment was when I ordered the soufflé pancakes and birria. She asked "is that all for you or are you sharing?". I brushed it off. Second comment was when my fiancé ordered and she said "that's a lot a food, are you sure?" I don't see the need to comment or fat shame when we are the ones paying for the food. Totally ruined my experience and I never want to eat here again. It just felt very unwelcoming and I was so disappointed.

4/5 by 👻 @Dalia A. on 03/25/2023

The first time was on a Saturday where we were turned away because the wait was too long and we wouldn't be seated before the restaurant closes. The second time was on Sunday, and we waited a little over 2 hours to be seated. It's in the heat of little Italy so we didn't mind waiting and just walked around and got coffee nearby in the meantime. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance. The decor is really fun, fresh, and filled with pink. Definitely great for Instagram! Our waitress was very nice and attentive and joked around with us the entire time. We even had a couple of waiters and the manager check in on us to make sure we were having a good experience - super sweet! We tried the soufflé pancakes which were really good and fluffy, definitely worth it. We didn't get berries with it but consider adding it on as an option to enhance the pancake. The Turkish eggs in my opinion were overhyped. They were cold (which is how they're supposed to be served) but I wasn't expecting it. It felt like there was more yogurt than eggs and tomatoes/vegetables in the dish. I added hot sauce to it to make it more flavorful. Personally, I'm from a middle eastern background and would've preferred this spread from an Arabic restaurant or my mom's. Overall good experience, make sure if you want to try this place though you're willing to wait :)

Michelin star BURNT hash browns everyone! Waited an hour and 45minutes to not eat this! What the f*** is the hype about this place? The food is no where near Michelin start quality especially when you are waiting multiple hours to eat it. Cocktails are all super sweet. The worst part is that there are 2 bathrooms only and you will spend the majority of your time at this restaurant waiting in line to use the restaurant because every single girl is taking a million Instagram photos in the bathroom and not actually using it.There were 3 of us and we basically didn't eat our meal together because each person spent 15+min in line to use the bathroom. I eventually had to bang on the doors and yell at 3 girls to get out of the one bathroom because there was a line of 20 people waiting to pee. No one could get up to wash their hands before they ate because our food would have been cold by the time we got back to the table if we had waiting in that line again.WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! My partner and I came for a date day in SD and spontaneously decided to come here for brunch. We checked in around 12:30pm on a Friday and walked around downtown SD until we got seated around 1:45. The experience was worth the wait! Food/DrinkCucumber cup 9.5/10We split a drink and normally I don't like gin, but this was SO refreshing! The horseradish brine gave it some tartness that was really complimentary to the freshness of the cucumber. This particular drink was quite strong so be careful if you need to drive!Turkish eggs 10/10Eggs and toast but absolutely next level. The yogurt and dill were so refreshing and the eggs were poached to perfection. I added a dash of hot sauce and it was delectable. Hash browns 100000/10Best hash browns ever? Perfectly crunchy and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was my first time having hash browns where I felt like I didn't need to add any sauce to it to enhance it.Pork belly fried rice 9/10Decent sized portion. My partner and I would have preferred more veggies and pork belly slivers in the rice, but it had a nice smoky flavor and the rice itself was perfectly soft. Bacon 11/10Thicccc slices of bacon that made me feel like I was about to have some thick cut of pork belly from a kbbq spot. Really nice balance of sweet and smoky taste. We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food, ambiance, decor, was all so unique. The bathroom toilets even have heated seats! My only thing was that occasionally a bold pigeon would fly and perch on some of the decor on the high ceilings, but given the outdoor nature of the restaurant I'm not upset. We will definitely be coming back!

Saw multiple reviews online so we prepared to stop by on our vacation. Totally worth the wait, a hour for 2 people around 11am on a week day. Before we even got our food my boyfriend was asking us to come back because of all the delicious food we could see everyone else receiving. The bartenders were very sweet and the food was quick even for a full a house.

After a two hour wait, I expect to receive the food as ordered and of good quality. Unfortunately they was not the case. Steak was over cooked, waffle was soggy and side order was incorrect. While the food runner looked at us like we had three heads when we shared what was wrong, the server and manager were great at addressing our concerns. We were starving after waiting so long, so we didn't have them correct the food. It did ruin our last morning in San Diego.

I recommend putting your name on the list and going to balboa park to kill time until you get notified about your reservation. You have 10 mins to get back.

I met a few coworkers for a work breakfast meeting and we were able to get a table for 4 without any reservations on a weekday. It wasn't too busy so our service was fast and everyone was very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food and my American breakfast was good as well - nothing spectacular but the sausage was the highlight of the plate. The ambiance was really fun and I'd definitely come back for a more casual visit and enjoy some of the drink menu options as well.

First and foremost if you are in a rush this is not a place

First and foremost if you are in a rush this is not a place for you. Unless you are at the door when they open please plan on a 1.5 hr wait and they do not take reservations. Locals said since we were visiting this is a must try place. Atmosphere was great and music was popping. It's not very large so may feel a little cramped. My Bellini was 5/5 and every restaurant should follow the proportions. We started with khachapuri. 3/5 the bread/dough was tough but liked the cheese. Personally would not order again. Breakfast carbonara with their homemade hot sauce was what hit the spot for us 4/5. This is more for atmosphere vs the food. You can get a Benny anywhere. This is a one and done for me but enjoyed the visit

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Morning Glory San Diego at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Morning Glory San Diego page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Morning Glory San Diego to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Morning Glory San Diego!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
