Located inside the Westin hotel on the waterfront in Vancouver, this place is a great spot to enjoy some beverages, light snacks, and even a meal if you are up for it. My wife and I arrived here a little later in the afternoon and needed to get some food before our evening event. We were quickly able to get a lovely seat outside to enjoy a wonderful sunny afternoon. The hostess and server were so friendly and delightful. Luckily we got here at happy hour where there are discount prices on drinks, appetizers, and some meals. The wife and I split the Smashburger and also got some truffle fries. The Smashburger was very delicious and I'm glad we split it because there was quite a lot. Delicious flavor. The truffle fries were fantastic. And the portion was very generous.
Above and beyond
Just had the most amazing experience dining here with my 3 little kids. The food was amazing but it was all the extra little touches by the server Mel that has my kids wanting to eat here every nightof our stay. Also...the happy hour deals are excellent! Highly recommend!
3 day birthday get away.
Went for happy hour (3-5pm) it was great food T great prices. The server was amazing. We ended up going at 3 different occasions and they knew us by name. Oysters were a hit!

We enjoyed a relaxing meal outside after arriving from the States. It sits across from the Harbor so you can hear the seagulls. David, our waiter was exceptional and he gave us great tips regarding what time in the area.

The service and location is great! We came for the meat platter special on Wednesdays and it did not disappoint. The special butter for the corn bread was delicious! The brisket was juicy and tender. The ribs and macaroni was mouth watering. Will definitely be back for more bbq around the outdoor patio.

High Tea was such a beautiful experience at H Tasting Lounge! The service was great, very prompt, explained all of the yummy treats along with history of why they chose it. We did the themed high tea "Around the world in 80 days", so the menu was country themed. Delicious. This high tea is pricier than most but I felt it was worth it.
Came to experience the winter domes (like clear igloos).
They gave wonderful holiday decor and lights, blankets and a heater above. There was faux snow periodically (not often enough) made of foam soap! The food was pretty good, the drinks were better. It is a great experience all together. And if you wanted to do a fun thing with children, they were also doing Winnie the Pooh inspired tea and desserts you could book as a whole experience. The service in the domes always a little slow, but I'd go again regardless of that and show some more people the domes! There was a minimum spend and reservations needed on Tock.
Went in for anniversary drinks.
It was a great experience. The waitress was incredibly kind and we had a lovely time. The door was open to the outside and that actually created a feeling to the outdoors that really added to the ambience.

My husband and I went to their winter lust domes to celebrate our anniversary and loved the thoughtfulness they decorated and designed the domes with (music that can be changed, blankets, heater that can be adjusted). The servers were amazing and anticipated my needs before I even asked. They had an interesting holiday drink menu that you should definitely explore if you're there. Food was great - I particularly loved the squid ink pasta.

This restaurant is one of the few in Vancouver that has a very fun with lots of science aspects or popular themes. They use things such as dry ice, smoke all the way to themes like Winnie the Pooh or other lovable characters. The high-tea is a beautiful idea with the cute themes and on the weekend there is a harpist but unfortunately the restaurant is in the middle of a very popular hotel lobby. This is where I would opt to go into their winterlust domes as it is the highlight of the season. They are warm and private domes where you can even choose your own music via your private speaker accessible through bluetooth. It has the holiday cozy theme with even fake snow sprinkling sporadically outside! The servers are friendly, informative and have great suggestions for menu items. I'm a fan of seafood so I go for the fresh oysters and the seafood pasta which is packed with prawns and a bunch of other shellfish! The quality of ingredients is high and the chef really cares about the food that they put out in a unique and beautifully presented manner. Care, quality and creativity are the H Tasting Lounge's top qualities for sure!

What a wonderful and special experience! I'm reviewing for their Winnie the Pooh High Tea. Reservations highly recommended. At the time, I was 16 weeks pregnant and the manager and staff were all so accommodating, this made the entire tea experience so special! My husband and I were also celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. The attention to detail (the menus, the decor, live harp music, food, and ambiance were so nice). This was such a cute high tea theme and we loved it!

It's a bar and if you are staying at the hotel (like myself) and don't feel like going anywhere- give it a shot. But this place is definitely nothing special to come here from across town. Just a fancier hotel bar
Cotton Candy For Dessert?
This lounge is in the Westin Bayfront which was where we were staying for two nights. Both nights we went out to dinner but returned to the H Tasting Lounge for a night cap and a dessert. The first night we enjoyed a chocolate cake. It was wonderful but on the advice of our bartender, Chiara, the second night we opted for cronuts served with a chocolate sauce, a cream sauce and a plume of cotton candy. That's right, a whole stick of cotton candy like you would get at a county fair. Very unique and fun.
Excellent all around!!!
What an excellent experience! We came for one cocktail (a birthday tradition with my sister) and decided to stay for the evening in this lovely room. The unique cocktails were absolutely exceptional (not watered down glasses full of crushed ice), and we couldn't choose just one. We ordered a selection of food to share, all of which was tasty--the mushroom and tofu dumplings were our favourite. The service was wonderful; Jennifer was always there before we needed anything, and she was the perfect level of friendly and personable and was very knowledgeable about the menu, cocktail preparation, and ingredients. The room was a very comfortable temperature; I had been concerned since other reviews mentioned it being chilly--absolutely not true--yes, some servers are wearing parkas, but that's because they're serving the outdoor pods. And while some people may not think about this while choosing a restaurant, I was happy that the seats are well-designed, upholstered chairs and a banquette where we could relax and be comfortable. (I am not willing to perch on a wooden stool all evening.) The menu includes a tomahawk steak and cotton candy dessert, which while we didn't order them, we got to enjoy their beautiful presentation when they were served to tables around us. And to top it all off, underground parking is complimentary when you are a guest in the restaurant; you just register your licence plate (it's like getting a free cocktail). We all highly recommend the H Tasting Lounge for an intimate evening, a special event with friends or family, and particularly the amazing cocktails.
Wonderful Lunch in a Private Dome!
Today my family and I enjoyed lunch in a dome on the waterfront at the Westin Bayshore Hotel. We didn't know what to expect as we'd never been there before, but I wanted something festive and special for my daughter and granddaughter this holiday season, and the dome was it. Everything about it was absolutely first class. We loved the privacy of the dome, where we could play our own music on the sound system and there were no noisy neighbours at the next table. For lunch week days there is a minimum spend of $150, which wouldn't be hard to meet with three of us. Our orders were smash burger with fries ($24), steak frites with a small salad ($35) cauliflower steak with lentils, roasted carrots, squash and various other veggies ($28), and truffle fries ($13). 750ml bottles San Pellegrino sparkling and Evian still water were $8 each. The only rather underwhelming item was the cauliflower steak. It was basically a big chunk of undercooked cauliflower. The diner expected it to be perhaps glazed and caramelized after a long, slow grilling, but it was not that all all. It looked raw, it was hard, and disappointing. When the server, Emily (more about her later) asked how everything was, the vegan in the room was honest and said her meal was disappointing as it just seemed like a hunk of raw cauliflower. She offered to take it back and get a redo, and did. It was somewhat improved, a little softer, more sauce on it, but still disappointing. "I would not order this again," she said, and I was sorry that one of us did not completely enjoy her meal. The fries all around were absolutely delicious, crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, the way they should be. The burger was huge (two patties) with REAL cheese, tomato, lettuce, etc. Came with a pile of fries and the diner was happy and could not eat it all. The steak portion was small (5 oz.), but very tender and tasty. Again, gorgeous fries that stayed crisp. It came with a red wine peppercorn jus that was a lovely addition to the plate. Even the little side salad of arugula and frisee was tasty. No complaints there. For dessert we had to try the freshly made sugar donuts (6) with a cotton candy cloud, whipped cream, honey drizzle and fresh berries $19. This was a fun and delicious ending to the meal, and was shared easily between the three of us. Perhaps the best part of the whole experience was our server, Emily, who was hospitality personified. We all felt she did absolutely everything she could to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. While we sit comfortably in our little private dome, the servers have to brave the elements and slippery patios to go back and forth, indoors/outdoors, to take care of their guests. It's winter out there! But that didn't stop Emily from being friendly, attentive and taking care of our every need. We never once had to wonder where she was or feel abandoned. Emily was on the job, and with a smile on her face. When she brought the bill she pointed out that we hadn't yet met the $150 quota (which really surprised me) and suggested we might order something else to make up the $16 difference (if we wanted to). We decided we may as well have another order of the donuts/cotton candy scenario to take out and enjoy later. This was soon brought in a Westin shopping bag, the donuts boxed and the cotton candy separate in a large Ziploc bag. We were never rushed out, as each dome seating is allotted 2.5 hours. We could have stayed longer but left at 2:00 to get a taxi home in the grey drizzle. We are already talking about when we can enjoy the Bayshore's dome experience again. It ends for the season around Mother's Day, to make way for summer patio dining. I recommend the Dome experience 5/5, and if you're lucky enough to get Emily as your server, she cranks the rating up to 11. Fabulous!
Surprisingly good food.
The menu and the food was surprisingly good. I didn’t have a lot of expectation for a restaurant lounge in a hotel, but was very good. There was 5 of us and we sat on the patio. We ordered a number of appetizers and a few mains to share. It was fun, nice day and ended up with 7 bottles of wine and a hefty bill. Nice location to enjoy food and drinks on the water (near as there are lots of boats in the way of the view).
A top notch experience
Really beautiful space in the Westin Bayshore. Was here for a week long conference so ate and drank here a couple times. The food was straight up, just an inspiration (see my pictures and the video of the Siu Mai dumplings presentation). Later in the week we had an evening of really relaxing drinks and I was so deeply impressed with their bar offerings, Such a variety of spirits (Mezcal's!) I don’t see too often . The service too was a true cut above, the bar guided my guests in a libation adventure - even the sophisticated drinkers were impressed and I will say that it never felt like a transaction. We were welcomed from the second we walked in to the second we left. And the design that went into the aesthetic, top notch. Stunning place truly worth a visit.
Fabulous
From the moment we were seated in the pods by the H Tasting Lounge server, who was very professional, we knew this was going to be in a class by itself experience. All the food that our group ordered tasted unique in its own way. Everyone was satisfied with their choice and loved the food. The bread and oil had a fair amount of bread and the candle butter was a fun addition. The caramelized onion and cheese dip was large and could be shared by two people. The crispy brussels sprouts were so uniquely tasty. The fish tacos had two large pieces of fish and were very good. The sable fish was buttery, melt in your mouth, extraordinary. The service was impeccable. We went during the week where the minimum charge was reduced. Looking forward to returning to enjoy the “Spring Pods”.
Great bar and cocktails with live music
H Tasting Lounge has a great bar with a variety of craft cocktail options. They also have live music throughout the week making it a lively atmosphere. A great spot for hotel guests or visitors alike! Visit findyourslope.com for more local Vancouver and Whistler recommendations.
Wannabe resto
This lounge has the prices of an upscale restaurant and the personality of that great aunt whose name you can’t remember. It is a mediocre lounge at best, despite its dome feature that forces you to spend $400 on better-than-pub food but subpar resto food. The cocktails and desserts were creative and memorable although the drinks were not spectacular and almost $20 each. If you don’t get into the dome, don’t take off your coat because the lounge is freezing cold, thanks to that service which has patrons and servers going in and out of the doors. Even the hostesses greet you in their parkas and some servers wear touques. My recommendation is to hit up Carderos just metres away.
